The Doctor's Note

Tribute to the unsung warriors in the
                    Corona pandemic

The Doctor's Note
                                        By - Tanvir Kaur

The darkness will shed off and laughters will bloom
Wait for me daughter , I'll come back soon...
I know you are craving to jump into my arms
You miss shoulder rides and tickling on my palms
But separation is now the only way to protect
Being a doctor I can cure but never resurrect
You might call me cruel, but cruel is not me
Cruel is the mankind, nature's biggest enemy.
Nature is invincible ,taking its turn to repay
While healing itself, stealing our souls away.
Its weapon named CORONA , sowing fear in every heart.
Sparing not even the mightiest and tearing families apart.
Grave is the disease, digging graves all around
Strange but reality, the destruction has no sound.
You always say , "My dad is my hero , right?"
Now it's time for this hero to fight with all his might.
Don't worry about me, I am not alone
Warriors are many, their names still unknown.
Wear mask, wash hands and stay away from crowd.
The battle is long , I hope I'll make you proud.
Darkest are the nights when brightest is the moon.
Prayers can transform this bane into boon.
The darkness will shed off and laughters will bloom.
Wait for me daughter , I'll come back soon...
